For this 30' x 48' x 10' pole barn, we used high-quality materials to ensure strength and durability. The structure includes 6x6 treated posts spaced 8' on center, each set on a 5x16 precast concrete footer block and secured with an 80 lb bag of Sakrete for added stability. We installed 2-ply 2x10 MSR headers, fastened with 4" GRK structural screws for extra support. The roof features prefabricated trusses with a 4/12 pitch, rated for 35-5-5 loading, and spaced 48" on center. It includes 12" overhangs on the eaves and gables, finished with vented metal soffit for proper airflow and a clean look. The walls are framed with 2x4 purlins and girts, spaced 24" on center, and supported by a 2x8 treated skirtboard for added strength. The exterior is clad with Everlast 28-gauge Lynx Series metal roofing and siding, with a 3'4" wainscot on all sides for a stylish contrast. A Therma Guard R-9 vapor barrier on the roof helps with moisture control, while vented closures under the ridge cap and foam closure strips at the eaves enhance ventilation and weather protection. Painted steel ridge cap, rake and corner trim, base angle, gutter apron, overhead door trim, and double angle at the gables provide a clean, finished look. For access, the barn includes two 10' x 8' ProDoor 4210 overhead doors (R-6.8 insulated with a vinyl back and raised panel wood grain finish in white). Each door features torsion springs, a standard track, weather stripping, a steel angle, a slide lock, and one row of standard windows. A 3'0" x 6'8" 9-lite fiberglass entry door provides easy entry, while four 36" x 48" white vinyl single-hung windows allow natural light and ventilation. This combination of materials and design ensures a strong, functional, and visually appealing structure.
