24×32 Garage in Reinholds, PA

For this 24' x 32' x 10' pole barn, we used durable, high-quality materials to ensure long-term strength and functionality. The structure includes treated 4x6 posts spaced 8' on center, set on 5x12 precast concrete footer blocks and secured with 80 lb of Sakrete for stability. We installed 2-ply 2x10 Southern Yellow Pine (SYP) headers, upgrading to 3-ply headers over the 9' eave openings for added support. The roof features pre-fabricated trusses with a 4/12 pitch, rated for 35-5-5 loading, and spaced 48" on center. It includes 12" overhangs on the eaves and gables, finished with vented metal soffit for proper airflow. We framed the walls with 2x4 purlins and girts, spaced 24" on center, and supported them with a 2x8 treated skirtboard for extra strength. The exterior features Everlast 28-gauge Lynx Series metal roofing in Ash Gray and metal siding in White, with a 3'4" red wainscot on all sides for a clean, contrasting look. A Therma Guard R-9 vapor barrier on the roof helps control moisture, while vented closures under the ridge cap and foam strips at the eaves improve ventilation and weather protection. For access, the barn includes two 9' x 8' ProDoor 4212 overhead doors (R-6.8 insulated with a vinyl back), featuring short carriage panels, Stockbridge garage windows, Blue Ridge decorative hinges and handles, torsion springs, standard tracks, weather stripping, steel angles, and slide locks. A 3'0" x 6'8" 9-lite fiberglass entry door provides easy entry, while two 36" x 48" white vinyl single-hung windows bring in natural light and ventilation. We secured the headers with 4" GRK structural screws for added strength. To protect against snow buildup, we installed SnowDefender 4500 snow guards, spaced 9" on center along the front eave. Painted steel ridge cap, rake and corner trim, base angle, gutter apron, and overhead door trim give the barn a polished, professional finish.
